Work to forge the good life

About

I'm David—husband, father of three, and someone who built this because I was drowning in overwhelm.

After my first child arrived, the cognitive load went from manageable to crushing.

I needed something that worked fast, added no friction, and could run in 10 minutes.

So I built one from Stoic principles.

Not because I loved philosophy. Because I was struggling and needed a way through.

Six years of daily practice later, this is what I share.

The Letters

Every week, one Stoic idea made useful. Plain language. Real situations—work stress, relationship friction, parenting under pressure.

These aren't scholarly essays. They're dispatches from daily practice, written for people who need something they can use on a Monday morning.

The Course

Stoicism 101 is a 10-lesson course that gives you a complete daily practice system.

Morning setup, midday reset, evening review—all structured, all tested, all designed to fit in 10 minutes.

It covers the ideas that matter, the tools that work, and how to restart when life gets chaotic.

The Journal Template

A Notion-based practice journal built to run alongside the course—or on its own.

Daily entries, weekly reviews, and nine structured exercises for when the day demands more than a standard reflection.

Ten minutes. Built for real life.

I'm not a philosophy professor. I'm someone who needed a functional framework to stay steady as a parent and professional, built one from Stoic principles, and shares what worked.

If you're tired of reactive living and want something that actually works—a letter in your inbox, a course you can start this week, or a journal you can open this morning—you're in the right place.
